Local until you choose Save online
Selecting a model, particle image or WAV reads it in your browser. Procedural sprite and sound generation runs locally. Choosing Save online uploads the current model, sprite, sound and particle settings to the site’s Cloudflare-backed storage. After connection, further edits save automatically to that online project. New projects saved through the editor also enable an unlisted animated link preview. Our AutoRig preview worker temporarily reads the model and sprite to render that preview; it does not need the source audio file. The rendered GIF/MP4 can be viewed by anyone with the effect link, while original downloads and editing remain key-protected.
Save .2vfx and Unity export create downloads on your device. These archives can contain the original model, images, sound and project settings. Share them only with recipients who should have those resources, and keep a saved project before closing or refreshing an editing session.
Website requests and search services
Loading the website still sends ordinary HTTP requests to the hosting infrastructure. Those requests include network and browser information necessary to deliver the pages. Local asset processing does not mean that visiting a website is anonymous or that the hosting provider has no operational logs.
This release does not add advertising pixels, session replay or client analytics cookies. Search-engine webmaster panels inspect public pages and aggregate search performance. Private project files are not sent to those panels by the editor. The service stores hashed project keys and rate-limit identifiers; hosting infrastructure may retain operational request logs.
Private keys and public snapshots
There is no account login: the private recovery key controls a saved project. It is remembered in this browser’s local storage and can be copied as a recovery link. Losing both removes your means of access. The server stores a hash of the key rather than the original secret. An agent link provides time-limited read, edit and upload access to one project and can be revoked by its owner.
Publishing a snapshot makes its particle settings, sprite and sound available to anyone with the public link; including the source model is an additional explicit choice. A public snapshot cannot edit the live project. Revoking a key or share does not delete copies that recipients already downloaded. Uploaded source files and the last 50 document revisions remain stored for project recovery; a full account/data-deletion interface is not yet available. Imported resources retain their original rights.
